Discover the beautiful landscape that was the magic frame for the lovestory between the nurse Hana and the soldier Kiph in the major blackbuster “The English Patient”: you’d touch by hand an extraordinary atmosphere of a land rich of culture, preserved hamlets and precious products that this earth has been giving since centuries. The tour starts from Siena and the road to the Crete it worths itself, following the crests of the Crete hills since the hidden village of Petroio, where we’d discover the ancient art of terracotta in a proper open air museum directly from a craftsman’s mouth. Then, the close hamlet of Castelmuzio would welcome us with its genuine products for a tasty lunch, and a full immersion in the olive oil production is our next step, a local producer would guide us between olive oil production and a proper degustation of this Sienese speciality, so special and so “spicy”. Last but not least, let’s move into a movie set, the stunning monastery of S.Anna in Camprena where Ralph Fiennes (actually Count Laszlo Almàsy) spent his last days.
